University of Leeds – School of Dentistry
Completed in September 2017
The School of Dentistry underwent a £5m investment to transform and modernise teaching spaces and office areas.
The nine-month project compliments the improvements made in 2016 where a £41m refurbishment elevated the clinical and teaching facilities amongst the best in the country.
Our brief was functional to go along with the universities high standard of design in the laboratories with breakout areas being more design lead. The state of the art lecture theatre also required a high level of lighting controls with individual desk controls and to also work alongside the interactive white board. Bespoke linear luminaires were made to sit within the bespoke plank ceiling and made to measure recessed linear luminaires to follow through the design intent into the plasterboard ceiling.
